TEACHER:  Joe Graziosi was raised in the Greek-American Community in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1975, Joe conducted dance research in Greek villages with noted folklorist Ted Petrides during a semester-abroad program. Since that time he has done extensive independent research in folk music and dance in Greece, the former Greek areas of the Anatolian Peninsula and the Greek-American communities in New York and New England. Since 1984 Joe has taught traditional folk and urban dances of the Greek peoples throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in Japan and Taiwan. Joe is a co-founder and co-director of the annual World Music & Dance Camp at Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Joe has compiled an exhaustive library of scholarly research, videos and musical archives.

GENERAL INFO: The camp is located on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma about 2½ hours from Oklahoma City and Dallas.  It has a wooden dance floor, scenic views, and dorm-style heated/air-conditioned cabins. Each cabin has two bed rooms, each with 8 bunks and 2 singles, and a shared bathroom.  Meals begin with breakfast on Saturday and end with breakfast on Sunday.  Refreshments are provided for parties. Bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows, towels and toiletries.   Cross Point Methodist Camp has a strict no-alcohol policy.

FOLK DANCE PARTY: Saturday night will feature a Greek dance party with some live music sets. Come dressed in folk dance costume or ethnic dress and let’s dance the night away!   A musicians' workshop is held 4:30 - 5:30 on Saturday - if you wish to participate, bring an instrument!

SCHOLARSHIPS:  One full-time and one part-time scholarship will be available this year and will be awarded based on need.  Applications for scholarships are due by Oct. 3rd.

SPECIAL INFO:  A limited  number of "private" rooms are available at an additional surcharge of $30.00 per room.  A private room is one of the cabin's bedrooms - the bath is shared with occupants of the other bedroom.  You must be a full time registrant and requests must be received by Oct. 5th.  Preference will be given to families with children.  A "couples" cabin may be available, if needed.  Tent camping and RV hook-ups are available for a nominal fee  If you prefer to make other arrangements, some small motels in Kingston are available. SCHEDULE:  Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. Friday.  Dance Workshop 8-10 p.m. with party afterwards.   Breakfast is 8-9 a.m., lunch is noon-1 p.m.  Morning and afternoon workshops on Saturday.  Dinner is 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Folk Dance Party begins at 7:30. Sunday breakfast is 8 - 9 a.m..  Review on Sunday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
