Publishing Web Pages

Overview

OneNet provides it's customers with the capabilities of World Wide Web (WWW) Hosting by providing and configuring the Netscape host software. OneNet also provides Dial-up customers with 10 MB of storage space. Customers can either utilize Netscape Navigator Gold or Netscape Communicator's Publish feature or another dedicated FTP program to publish web pages to their website. However, only the FTP programs currently gives customers the capabilities to rename or delete files, or create and remove directories.

The customer is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining their web pages. The initial web page must be named either index.html, index.htm or home.html. The server is case sensitive therefore these file names must be lower case.

Netscape Navigator Gold or Netscape Communicator allows you to create, edit and transfer web pages. You can, however, use a program specifically designed for creating web pages and transferring them to the server. There are several available on the internet at FTP sites.
