User Password Administration

Overview

OneNet allows users to change their password utilizing a web browser (like Netscape Navigator or Communicator) via a SECURE web connection. This will assure that all transactions are handled via secure transactions. The following steps cover the procedures to change your password.

Changing Passwords

The Change Password screen allows you to change your password. You will be required to enter your username and current password to gain access to this screen. The Change Password screen will prompt you to enter a new password twice. The password requires the entry of 4 to 16 alpha-numeric characters, including spaces and punctuation marks except colon. Password can not be the same as the username.

If the two passwords entered match, the Change Password screen is displayed with the message "Your password has been scheduled for change!" Your password will be changed once the system processes your request. The system processes password change requests on the hour and every ten minutes thereafter.

If the two passwords entered do not match, the Change Password screen is displayed with the error message "The passwords did not match, please re-enter your new password." Your password will not be changed until the two password entered on this screen match. Click on the Re-enter password button to return to the Change Password screen to change your password.

If you leave the password blank or enter an invalid password, the Change Password screen will be displayed with the error message "Invalid password, please choose another." Click on the Re-enter password button to return to the Change Password screen to change your password.
