Fiber Maintenance May 23

A fiber maintenance window has been set for May 23, 2012 from 1201 AM to 0600 Am for fiber located in Newcastle area.

Telco will be relocating fiber optic cable due to highway construction affecting traffic to Lawton and Chickasha Hub. The hub traffic will fail over to lower speed connectivity circuit causing latency and possible interruption of service during the maintenance window. Outage is expected to last one hour but entire window is reserved.

At 10:39 this morning communication was restored to the Woodward hub site. Communication appears normal at this time. Further interruptions are not anticipated.

Woodward hub site – No Communication

This morning at 02:31 communications with the Alva, Woodward, and Enid hub sites was lost. Communication interruption due to telecommunications maintenance along a fiber optic path. Communication with Alva and Enid has been restored, Woodward hub site is still under maintenance. Maintenance has taken longer than expected. Personnel are working to resolve the issue.

Alva, Woodward, Enid hub sites – No Communication

This morning at 02:31 communications with the Alva, Woodward, and Enid hub sites was lost. Communication interruption due to telecommunications maintenance along a fiber optic path. Personnel are working to resolve the issue. Service should be restored within the next two hours. Repairs are being addressed as quickly as possible. Partial restoration may take place during the maintenance but may be slow or latent until maintenance is complete.
