Client Instructions
Thank you for choosing OneNet, Oklahoma's official telecommunications and information network for education and government. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your telecommunications services. To start your order, you must complete the three (3) forms detailed below and mail them to OneNet, 655 Research Parkway, Suite 200, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 or fax them to 405-225-9250.
1) OneNet Client Circuit and/or Dial-Up Agreement
2) OneNet Service Order Form
3) Purchase Order for Service & Service Establishment (6 months or 1 year in advance)
Important Note: OneNet cannot begin to process an order, or consider it valid, until all of the above documentation has been properly completed, signed and returned to OneNet.
OneNet clients must prepay the fees for either six (6) or twelve (12) months. For clients joining during the fiscal year, the fees will be prorated.
In addition to the above documentation, you will need to send the appropriate Purchase Orders to equipment vendors (separate purchase orders are required for each manufacturer). A complete listing of equipment contracts is available on OneNet's Web site at www.onenet.net.
OneNet applicants are responsible for all their customer premises equipment (CPE) and wiring needs. If you require assistance in determining your equipment needs, please contact OneNet at 1-888-5ONENET (or 225-9444 in the Oklahoma City area). OneNet will be able to recommend vendors who are on state contract. It is important to note that OneNet cannot assume responsibility for a customer's existing wiring systems.
Network Compatibility
In an effort to assure that network compatibility and standards are achieved, OneNet has established contracts with the following manufacturers for telecommunications equipment.
CISCO SYSTEMS (Routers, switches, remote access, hubs, CSU/DSU's)
INTEL & POLYCOM (H.323 video codecs)
This standard equipment is available on state contract. Purchasing off of the state contract will normally result in cost savings and reduce the administrative requirements related to the bidding process. Remember, a complete listing of equipment contracts is available on OneNet's Web site at www.onenet.net.
Any issue OneNet must undertake to connect a client using non-standard equipment will be billed to the client on a time and materials basis.
OneNet will order tail circuits that may include 56Kbps or T-1 circuits and Ethernet connections (where available) from qualified service providers. Clients who choose to order circuits directly from a provider will incur full OneNet fees as well as circuit charges from the telecommunications provider.
